Analisis Manajemen Risiko Pembiayaan Murabahah Bank Syariah Indonesia (KCP Dharmahusada Surabaya)

Murabahah financing is the most widely used financing product in Islamic banking; however, it is exposed to financing risks that may affect asset quality and banking stability if not managed effectively. This study aims to analyze the implementation of risk management in murabahah financing at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Dharmahusada Surabaya. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using primary and secondary data collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and literature review. The informants consisted of the Branch Manager, Consumer Banking Relationship Manager, and Micro Relationship Manager Team Leader. The findings indicate that BSI KCP Dharmahusada Surabaya implements risk management through financing feasibility analysis based on the 5C principles (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Condition of Economy), customer credit history verification, and continuous financing monitoring. In resolving non-performing financing, the bank adopts a humane approach by conducting customer clarification and providing financing restructuring through the extension of repayment periods for customers experiencing justifiable financial difficulties. Furthermore, the collateral policy is implemented flexibly according to the characteristics of the financing, thereby expanding public access to financing while maintaining prudent banking practices. The study concludes that the implementation of risk management at BSI KCP Dharmahusada Surabaya successfully balances prudential banking principles with Islamic values emphasizing justice, public benefit (maslahah), and sustainable financing.
